U Hrvatskoj, prema procjenama, godišnje oko devet tisuća ljudi doživi srčani zastoj izvan bolnice. Nakon toga mozak može preživjeti samo tri do pet minuta bez kisika što je mnogo manje vremena nego što prođe do dolaska Hitne medicinske pomoći. Zato je od iznimne važnosti građane podučavati pravilnoj reanimaciji. Na Cvjetnom će trgu Hrvatsko društvo za reanimatologiju Hrvatskoga liječničkog zbora građane podučavati osnovama oživljavanja uz uporabu automatskih vanjskih defibrilatora. HLZ.hrVEZANI SADRŽAJI

Svjetski dan oživljavanja obilježit će se subotu, 19.10. u 9,30h Trgu Petra Preradovića (Cvjetnom trgu) u Zagrebu. Edukativni program za građane počinje pokaznom vježbom u 9.30 sati. Europsko vijeće za reanimatologiju od 2013. godine obilježava Europski dan oživljavanja. Taj je dan prošle godine prerastao u globalnu javnozdravstvenu akciju Svjetski dan oživljavanja.
